Ian AitkenIan Aitken
President and CEO

Ian Aitken serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Menninger Clinic with leadership responsibility for overall leadership of The Clinic, including operational functions and implementation of the strategic plan. Most recently, he oversaw The Clinic's administrative, operational, marketing, and network functions. He has served on The Clinic's management team since joining Menninger in 1996.

Aitken has worked in behavioral healthcare throughout his career. Prior to joining Menninger, he served as Vice President for health system development at Rock Creek Center, in the southwest Chicago suburb of Lemont, Illinois. He directed development of outpatient programs in a seven-state area, physician recruitment, and managed care contracting. He also served as Vice President and CEO of Four Winds-Chicago Hospital at Lemont, a 60-bed proprietary behavioral health hospital with outpatient and off-site programs.

For 16 years, he held a number of administrative and program director positions in the Illinois Department of Mental Health and Disabilities. During this tenure, Aitken gained expertise in management and development of acute and extended care programs. While working in the public sector, Aitken also presented at state and national mental health conferences and was published in the Journal of Health and Human Resource Administration.

He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University.


Rozanna DavisRozanna Davis, MS
Vice President, Human Resources

Rozanna Davis is responsible for employment and staffing, employment law, employee relations, compensation, worker's compensation, and staff education and development.

Davis joined The Menninger Clinic's Human Resources Department in September 1997. Before being promoted to director of the department, she served as Human Resources manager for the Menninger clinical network programs that the organization had managed at general hospitals in Kansas City. Her human resources career has also included contract consulting and organizational responsibilities for training and development, recruitment, community outreach and editing an international employee newsletter.

She is active in the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, Society of Human Resources Management and American Society for Training and Development. Davis completed her undergraduate degree in business and human resources at Ottawa University and holds a master’s in science degree in management from Baker University. She has also attended the University of Kansas and Washburn University.

Larry DenoyerLarry Denoyer, CFM
Vice President, Facilities and Property Management

Larry Denoyer manages all properties owned by Menninger and oversees Engineering, Safety, Security, the Call Center, Housekeeping and Food Service operations. He joined the organization in March 2001 and is a certified facilities manager (CFM).

To prepare for The Clinic' s relocation from Kansas to Houston in 2003, Denoyer oversaw the renovation of the Menninger facilities on 14 acres in Houston. He discusses the renovation in Facilities Management Journal.

Previously, Denoyer held various senior management positions, including chief operating officer of the Brown Schools' 125-bed Brain Injury Facility in Austin, Texas. In addition to his responsibilities as COO, he led business development efforts at Brown. Prior to Brown, he directed construction of Four Winds-Chicago, a proprietary behavioral health hospital in southwest Chicago and was the director of Facilities & Property Management for the Rock Creek Center psychiatric treatment center in Lement, Illinois, and its outpatient programs located throughout southern Illinois. He also was chief engineer for 23 mental health facilities for the state of Illinois' Department of Mental Health. Responsibilities included annual training of the state's 70 chief engineers for the departments of Mental Health, Corrections, and Universities at the University of Illinois.

James FoxJames Fox
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

James Fox joined Menninger in November 2001 and has responsibility for the accounting, treasury, information technology, materials management, and corporate compliance departments for The Menninger Clinic.

Prior to joining Menninger, Fox held various financial leadership positions, including Chief Financial Officer of Rock Creek Center LP (1998-2001), a psychiatric treatment facility, Chief Financial Officer of Preferred Health Systems LLC (1996-1998), and Controller of Value Behavioral Health (1994-1996). Mr. Fox has also served in a number of financial management positions at PRC Litton (1988-1994), and began his career in the audit and financial consulting division of Arthur Andersen.

Fox is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Virginia with a bachelor in science degree in commerce.


Dr. Pam GreenePam Greene, PhD, RN
Vice President, Patient Care Services

Dr. Pam Greene, a nurse for 29 years specializing in psychiatric-mental health nursing, joined the management team in September 2005, two years after joining The Menninger Clinic. She has responsibility for the therapeutic milieu in the hospital. In addition, she oversees clinical programming as well as staffing and career development for nursing, rehabilitation therapy and addictions counseling.

Dr. Greene is a frequent presenter at mental health nursing conferences and author of nursing practice articles. She is currently a member of the editorial advisory board for ADVANCE for Nurses.

Previously, Dr. Greene served as director of nursing practice and research with responsibility for coordinating application for magnet recognition, implementing a nursing internship program for new BSN graduates, collaborating with nursing staff to revise the conceptual framework used to guide nursing practice and working with nursing staff to develop a new clinical documentation system. She takes a special interest in research exploring experiences of nurses who work with suicidal patients.

She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Ohio State University and her doctorate in nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. In her nursing career, Dr. Greene has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings with people of all ages. She taught at Midwestern State University for seven years before joining The Menninger Clinic staff when the hospital relocated to Houston in 2003.

Shawna MorrisShawna Morris, MPA
Senior Vice President of Marketing & Development

Shawna Morris joined The Menninger Clinic in August 1997 with responsibilities for Marketing and Business Development. Since joining The Clinic, she accepted additional responsibilities for Admissions, Communications, Public Affairs and the Development Office, which includes all fundraising and board relations activities.

Before joining Menninger, Morris served in a variety of regional and national sales, marketing, and business development leadership positions. These positions included Assistant Vice President for Business Development at ValueMark Healthcare Systems, Inc. (1996-1997), Senior Consultant for Network Management at Human Affairs International (1994-1996), and Regional Managed Care Specialist at Charter Medical Corporation (1990-1994).

Morris graduated from the University of Kansas' master's in public administration program in the fall of 2002 and from Grace College with a bachelor of science degree in communication and psychology. She is on the Board of The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston, a member of Sales & Marketing Executives International and the Alliance for Healthcare Strategy and Marketing, as well as an active volunteer with community programs for children.

Dr. John OldhamJohn Oldham, MD, MS
Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff, The Menninger Clinic; Executive Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs and Development and Professor, Menninger Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. John Oldham, who joined Menninger in January 2007, specializes in personality disorders and is recognized internationally as a leader in psychiatric medicine.

Prior to Menninger, Dr. Oldham served as professor and chairman of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and executive director of the Institute of Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina. At MUSC he headed ongoing projects ranging from basic neuroscience and brain imaging, to clinical psychopharmacology and the design of clinical service delivery systems.

Previously, he also served as Elizabeth K. Dollard Professor and acting chairman of Columbia University ’s Department of Psychiatry, director of the New York State Psychiatric Institute and chief medical officer of the New York State Office of Mental Health.

He is the recipient of many awards and honors for leadership, teaching and contributions to the field and is active as an educator and lecturer, author, reviewer and editor. Dr. Oldham is author or co-author of over 200 journal articles, books, book chapters and editorials. He served as senior editor for the “Annual Review of Psychiatry” series for American Psychiatric Publishing, Inc. (APPI) for many years and now serves on the APPI Board of Directors. He is editor in chief of the Journal of Psychiatric Practice.

Dr. Oldham received his medical education at Baylor College of Medicine and completed psychiatric residency training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. He also completed psychoanalytic training at the Columbia Psychoanalytic Center and holds board certification in psychiatry, psychoanalysis and forensic psychiatry.

Pegi PungPegi Pung , RN, MA, CNAA-BC
Vice President of Quality Services

As vice president of Quality Services, Pegi Pung directs compliance activities to meet the requirements of the Texas Department of Health, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and other state and federal agencies. She is also responsible for assuring quality of clinical care and performance improvement throughout The Menninger Clinic. As patient advocate, she resolves patient concerns. In addition, she oversees Health Information Management Systems and the Utilization Review Department.

Pung has 20 years of experience in nursing administration in profit, non-profit and academic medical settings, where she has specialized in process improvement, risk management, patient advocacy, and utilization review.

Previously, Pung managed nursing services for behavioral medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Galveston. In her 11 years in this position, she was responsible for a variety of services, including the administrative, clinical and financial direction of nursing services; oversight of licensure and agency regulation; utilization review; and process improvement for that service. She also acted as the liaison with the medical staff, social services and occupational and physical therapy, as well as the liaison between Behavioral Medicine and the remainder of the academic medical facility.

Pung remains an adjunct faculty member with UTMB. She was recently elected to the Board of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, and her service was recognized by Press Ganey in 2005 as a national recipient of its patient satisfaction award.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio and a master’s degree in psychology, with a specialty in marriage and family therapy, from Texas Woman’s University. In addition, she is certified in advanced nursing administration from the American Nurses Association.

Pung has significant experience as an expert witness with several law firms in Houston, and she has worked as a national nursing consultant for the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Donna YiDonna Yi, MD
Associate Chief of Staff and Clinical Director, The Menninger Clinic; Assistant Professor, Menninger Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Baylor College of Medicine

In her role as associate chief of staff and clinical director for The Menninger Clinic, Dr. Yi serves on the Menninger leadership team, is the consulting psychiatrist to the Admissions Office and is Menninger’s clinical representative for adult services on the administrative council of the Menninger Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Yi has 20 years experience in addiction psychiatry and caring for patients with addiction and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. She presents on the challenges of treating individuals with co-occurring disorders at national conferences.

Previously, Dr. Yi served as addiction psychiatrist for the Menninger Professionals in Crisis Program, a specialty inpatient treatment program for women and men in high-performance fields who are experiencing difficulty managing their career and relationships because of comorbid psychiatric, substance abuse and personality disorders.

Dr. Yi is certified in addiction medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine and is board certified in addiction psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. She completed her psychiatric residency at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and the University of Southern California.

Before joining Menninger in 2003, she served on the faculty at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and Cornell Medical College in New York.
