Hope Adult Program

Treatment philosophy
Hope treatment philosophy is based on the biopsychosocial and rehabilitative model. We help patients to look at all aspects of their lives: biological, psychological, social and medical. We emphasize a patient’s strengths in these areas, as well as problem behaviors that prevent them from achieving their stated goals. The rehabilitation model is based on working on these life arenas, with peer support, in groups.

The patient is involved in every phase of treatment. The treatment team discusses their recommendations with the patient in clinical rounds twice weekly; the primary clinician is always available to the patient and family. Most patients require medications, but medications are only given with a patient’s full and signed consent. Again, we discuss the rationale for any medication recommendation.
