Professionals in Crisis Program

Who we treat
Menninger’s Professionals in Crisis Program treats men and women in business ownership, upper management, medicine, sports, law, entertainment, education and other high-performance fields who are experiencing difficulty managing their career and relationships because of psychiatric disorder, addiction, demands and stressors.

The clinical team specializes in the issues of professionals. Members of the team offer valuable perspectives to understanding, diagnosing and treating the needs of the professional, as well as his/her immediate family.

The program is designed for professionals who have been in treatment elsewhere, but have not made the desired progress and are experiencing:

  • Depressive disorders
  • Anxiety or panic disorders
  • Addictive disorders, including gambling, sexual compulsivity, drug and alcohol addiction, compulsive spending or financial addiction, or Internet addiction
  • Dual disorders (both psychiatric and addictive disorders)
  • Personality disorders
  • Professional boundary violations
  • Impulsive or disruptive behavior, anger or self-injury history
  • Impaired concentration and memory
  • Burnout and stress
  • Career decisions and transitions
  • Disciplinary action or loss of license
  • Impaired ability to skillfully and safely perform job tasks
